Aqib Talib has been making some huge plays for the Patriots over the last 4 weeks. If he continues to do so, the Pats will have a huge decision to make about his future:
Geno Smith has looked rough up to this point, but this writer shows there’s more than meets the eye:
Are the Bills a legit playoff contender this year? This writer says it’s possible:
The Fins have a short turnaround this week to play Baltimore tomorrow night. Here’s a great breakdown of key matchups to watch and why:
Did You Know?
The Steelers, Giants, and Rams are averaging less than 60 rushing yards a game and are off to a collective 1-11 start? Hmm.

PIT is rumored to be trading for Levi Brown. This shows that they're not giving up on the season but that they still have an affinity for bad o-linemen.
8. Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins
Grade: +3.6 -- Status: Starter (252 snaps)
Analysis: It didn’t go well versus the Saints did it? In a big test he fluffed his lines, but that can happen when you’re trying to go toe-to-toe with Drew Brees. Encouraging signs with his game-winning drive versus the Falcons being a real signature moment for him. More of the same needed.
10. Stephon Gilmore, CB, Buffalo Bills
Grade: n/a -- Status: Starter (0 snaps)
Analysis: The Bills await their star cornerback returning from injury
16. Quinton Coples, OLB, New York Jets
Grade: -1.0 --Status: Starter (103 snaps)
Analysis: After injury, has assumed his role as a starter but yet to deliver the kind of emphatic performances the team had hoped for off the edge, picking up three hits and three hurries in two games. Early days as a he transitions from down linemen to stand up linebacker (in base at least).
21. Chandler Jones, DE, New England Patriots
Grade: -1.3 -- Status: Starter (280 snaps)
Analysis: Has been outplayed by Rob Ninkovich and hasn’t demonstrated the kind of consistent burst off the edge that would expect from a top-tier pass rusher, despite the healthy 21 quarterback disruptions. Solid right now but more expected of him.
25. Dont’a Hightower, LB, New England Patriots
Grade: -3.6 -- Status: Starter (231 snaps)
Analysis: Still looks a little out of place in coverage where 15 of 19 balls thrown his way have been complete. Four missed tackles isn’t helping his cause either but he does look more comfortable in run defense.
This has probably already been talked about but I can't stop laughing at the Suggs comments regarding the blackout at the SB game this year. I have a visual image of Goodell calling the Buffalo Wildwings guy to pull the power switch to call the blackouts.
Per Suggs the blackout is what caused the Niners to be able to score 17 unanswered points. Clearly Suggs and company were frightened by the dark yet it had only positive affects on the 49ers.
Can any of you check my article I had set up for tomorrow? I want to see if it saved and if the images are still showing up. I can't log in right now for some reason.
@iycedout Never read his books but by cracky could they be adapted into some great movies!
@iycedout Im going to pretend not to have heard that
@Bpardo95 good thing they waited until after the Bills game to do it
@iycedout Jets will bring Kurt Warner out of retirement
@the hooded genius Carson Palmer hates this trade
@the hooded genius I need to catch that when I am no longer on my deathbed.
Jones hasn't been as good as expected this year but I strongly disagree on Hightower. He's 270lbs and has been covering RBs all over the field. He was 20+ yards down field against Martin a couple weeks back.
@cgc5783 credibility hit zero when Weeden got a positive grade
@Bpardo95 they do in one universe
@cgc5783 double post?
@Northshorepsbc Peyton Manning caused it because he was mad he didn't get to go to the Super Bowl...again
@Northshorepsbc It's comments like his that make people think the NFL Players hatred of Goodell goes too far and is ridiculous.
You should just hope that NYJ doesn't trade for or sign him in the next year or two. Very good receiver, but will cost too much.
@iycedout they should have moved Tanne to WR #FreeMoore
@CJ gets two many carries I just did and the post is there. but not the images. I'll try to get fishfan.
@the hooded genius It's not like he has written his own books for 15 years.
@iycedout Click the link, there's worse
A team that's built on hard work and team-first adds a WR that relies mostly on talent. Reminds me of Ocho to NE, but obviously Wallace is in his prime and Chad wasn't.
When Wallace was going into a contract year and holding out in PIT he didn't even take a playbook to study. That's not a good fit with Tanne and the coaches.
